Dorothy Barrow

Dorothy Barrow has worked with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities for more than three decades. While in college, Dorothy worked as a residential assistant (what is now referred to as a direct support professional/DSP) in a home where she helped a group of men with tasks of daily living. In this role, Dorothy felt a strong sense of value, purpose and joy. As a residential assistant, she was able to “care for, coach, and support individuals with disabilities and help them access needed resources to live a quality life.” From there, Dorothy went on to hold various positions including: the Director of Day Program, the Residential Director of Client and Team Supports, Case Manager, an Intake Therapist, and a Crisis Therapist. 

Today, Dorothy works as a Case Management Supervisor for Inspire where her resourcefulness, empathy and compassion are much appreciated and her impact with her colleagues and clients is beyond compare. As a Case Management Supervisor, Dorothy is able to utilize her skills and experience to better the lives of individuals and families in this population. Of her current position, Dorothy says “being able to help others succeed and achieve their vision of their best life is a blessing for me.”
