Advocacy Resources
ASK’s mission: About Special Kids values the power of parent-to-parent support and the vast potential of every child. We provide answers, resources, and connections vital to families raising children with special needs, preparing each family to meet their respective challenges and to achieve their goals while championing them to live their best lives.
The Arc of Indiana was established in 1956 by parents of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) who joined together to build a better and more accepting world for their children.
Family Voices Indiana provides information, training, and one-on-one support to families of children and youth with special health care needs, and the professionals who serve them. We aim to provide families with tools to make informed decisions, advocate for improved systems and policies, and build partnerships between professionals and families. We are the state affiliate organization for Family Voices, and we serve as Indiana’s Family-to-Family Health Information Center.
Today, the Foundation encompasses five programs that serve the whole child and those who directly affect the child, including parents, siblings, friends, educators, health professionals, and community leaders.
